The content in Challenge Mentals is provided in 32 units in three levels. Level 1 contains uncomplicated exercises. Level 2 contains examples with a greater degree of difficulty The extension exercises are designed to challenge the more competent students. Each unit includes an activity section. These activities are designed to reinforce the various concepts.
Not all students progress at the same rate. Within the average classroom there are students at various stages of development and with different mathematical abilities. The purpose of this book is to improve each student’s understanding of mathematics by providing a program of work that is appropriate to the stage of development.
